Really Disappointed with Sainsbury’s IlfordI had a terrible experience at Sainsbury’s Ilford recently. I found kids’ yogurt that was nearly two weeks out of date on the shelves, which is shocking!I pointed it out to a staff member and even helped identify the expired stock. She mentioned there might be fresher stock in the stockroom but didn’t seem interested in checking. That was frustrating enough, but then I had to approach a manager to get it sorted. The manager did check the stockroom but didn’t seem bothered at all about the fact that the yogurts were so old. Instead, he told me that new stock hadn’t been ordered because the system waits for the almost-expired items to sell first. How is that okay when it’s kids’ food we’re talking about?Selling out-of-date products is dangerous, especially for families who might not notice the expiry date. The whole experience made me lose trust in this store. Sainsbury’s Ilford really needs to step up their game—get stricter with checking expiry dates, remove old stock, and actually care about food safety.

I had a terrible experience at Sainsbury’s Ilford. The staff were rude when I asked for help with an alcohol purchase. Manager Saad and Tania team member were aggressive and unprofessional, raising his voice and pointing his finger at me. I felt disrespected as a customer. This behavior is unacceptable, and I am extremely disappointed. Sainsbury’s needs to improve customer service and ensure that staff are trained to handle situations

I rarely take time out to talk about places other than food outlets...but this is an exception. This is clearly an under-investment by Sainsbury's...no tills, so you look for self-checkout which has a line twice as long and staff member dealing with the normal self checkout challenges, even those who had scanned thier items as they shop couldn't use the tills dedicated to them as they were out of use.Tried to speak to the manager, but was told he was somewhere and service staff fumbled up an excuse. This is the last time I go here, rather walk mins and use Iceland or drive mins and be at Tesco in Barking.I am sure staff are trying thier best, but if customer service and help at checkouts is poor/checkout is not available, then it's pointless - a customer wants to pick up the goods and pay, it's a simple task, for a weekday night and I would start with that.
